On September 8th 2006, the members of the Indian Cricket Team Launched SportsMechanics which marked a hard fought and exciting 6 year Journey for Subramanian Ramakrishnan "Ramky", Director/Founder of SportsMentor. As a Coach who wanted to bring in scientific tools in the coaching methodologies into the game, Ramky became a pioneer in introducing Video Analysis solutions in the sub continent as early as year 2000 by introducing Silicon Coach Motion Analysis Software.
His big break arrived when John Wright invited him to represent the Indian Cricket Team as the Performance analyst in 2003 based on his work in the MRF Pace Foundation and National Cricket Academy where he has analyzed over 5000 cricketers.
His work with the Indian Team not only brought in a change in the planning and preparation, but also made sure that technology was well embraced and used effectively in the sport.
Ramky has worked with top coaches around the world which includes former greats such as Dennis Lillee, Bob Simpson, John Wright, Greg Chappell, Hanumanth Singh, T.A.Sekar, to name a few. In this period, Ramky initiated many path breaking innovations in sports technology where the Introduction of Digital Cricket Solutions and the Global Delivery model for Match Analysis in Non Televised Games gained tremendous popularity in the ICC and BCCI. He has been responsible for mentoring a lot of careers and building a dedicated team in SportsMechanics.
